The Great Paw Print Journey

 **Title is a work in progress.

I have not been so excited about a project in a very long time. This idea has been jotted down on scrap paper and tacked to the bulletin board above my computer. While waiting for a big project to start, I had about six weeks of extra time on my hands. 

Filling that time is a piece of cake, spend more time with the dogs, focus on my prayer journal, work on a new wreath or swag, research the next topic for Prayers and Promises Ministry, write an extra blog post for Maker-Mall or Great Gifts To Go. But, as I sat staring at a blank Word document one afternoon, I looked up and my eyes landed on that scrap paper hanging there for several years. 

Before I really realized what I was doing, the outline was finished and the first chapter was underway. The main character, a little 5-pound Japanese Chin named Jinx, and her best friend, a fluffy 6-pound Pomeranian named Colton.

In real life, Jinx and Colton are two of my dogs who have the biggest personalities and it was only natural that they become the stars! The first draft is complete!!

In my downtime, I like to write and create just for me. I started Prayers and Promises Ministry and School when I was homeschooling my daughter. Since she has graduated, the school part was dropped from the name; it is now just Prayers and Promises Ministry, where I share my own personal walk with the Lord and use my blog to encourage others.

Great Gifts To Go

Great Gifts To Go was started on a bit of a whim. As a single mother, I needed something that was just mine, and the shop was it. However, life got in the way, and this busy single mom did not have the time or energy to keep up with creating new items. The shop was put on hold.

Fast forward to 2023, and my now 18-year-old daughter has discovered her passion for creating unique craft items and even sells some to friends and family (to rave reviews). What 18-year-old wants to spend time with Mom? Well, mine actually did, and we started creating wreaths, door hangers, and trinket boxes. The response online (via Facebook and Instagram) was very positive, so we decided to un-shelve Great Gifts To Go.

This shop showcases our passion for creating fun, unique items and gives us a way to stay connected to each other in this rather busy world we live in. We hope you take a minute and check out our items and visit us often as we add new creations.
